Just got off the phone with Joyce. She talked to Joe yesterday. Seemed they had a nightmare trip getting to Niger, Africa. Their tickets were not in order in Dallas, so they barely made their flight. In New York, the weather was bad so they circled for about an hour, then running low on fuel, they were detoured to Virgina, where they deboarded the plane while it gassed up. They had a three hour wait. Finding out La Guardia was closed from bad weather, they boarded a bus for a seven hour trip to the airport. Upon arrival there, they found that there was only one departing flight to Casablanca and it would not be until later that evening. So Joe, the pastor, and Tommie stayed with the luggage while the rest of the crew went sightseeing in NYC. Someone had to watch the 22 pieces of luggage!
When they finally made it to Africa, they still had about a seven hour trip to the town where they are building the church! So they started out 1 day behind. Hopefully, they will be able to get caught up. Whew! What an adventure!
