Rock and Roll Headlines

Ryan called me Thursday night. He was so excited to tell me that his truck will be on the cover of a future issue (April, we think) of Offroad magazine and there is an article about Rock and Roll Offroad !
and it is an eight page s p r e a d !

The magazine spotlights Ryan and Jared's trucks with two page spreads for each truck.

Ryan and Jared had their trucks on display at the SEMA show in Las Vegas in November and they did this photo shoot in the desert after the show was over.

Great publicity for the guys! We cannot release any of the pictures until the magazine is on the newsstands, but be on the look out for it. (insert fireworks and woohoos here!)

Ice, Ice Baby!

The weather channel is predicting a heavy mixture of snow, sleet and freezing rain headed right in our direction with gusty winds too. Isn't Mother Nature generous to North Texas? Since the Christmas Eve Blizzard caught everyone unaware, everyone seems to be getting prepared for this storm. I have my Stablicers ready just in case they are needed, a de-icer for my windshields, scrapers, etc. And since the heater isn't working too well at work, I will dress extra warm for work tomorrow.

Post Script: I just thought I had planned well. Who knew that an umbrella would have come in handy? We have had thunder, lightening, lots of rain and sleet with snow forecasted for tonight.

What difference do it make?

Just got the new book by Ron Hall and Denver Moore, authors of Same Kind of Different as Me. We heard them speak last year at the Young Life Banquet here in town. Looking forward to devouring this book.

Haiti

A group of North Texans were in Haiti when the earthquake struck. Gary Fish, M.D, an ophthalmologist from Dallas, who sees patients locally at the Texas Retina Associates was one of the doctors there to perform free eye surgeries. I found this clip on google of him being interviewed by the Beijing China news.

Update: The lady that Dr. Fish was fanning in the video passed away. Here is the story on that.

Focus!

I'm having a busy day, cleaning out the junk room, rearranging my clothes closet, boxing up Christmas sale items, baking peanut butter cookies, sampling peanut butter cookies :) , etc.

I have trouble staying focused. Does this happen to you? When you are cleaning and go from one room to another and something in THAT room needs your attention too? It is hard to stay on task. I am taking a break at the computer right now, and instead of going back to my other tasks, I think I should clean this messy desk! Maybe it has something to do with a short attention span? Not sure, but at least things are getting done to some degree. Focus girl, focus!

New Year's baby

Have you ever seen hospital photos that look this good? Paula says that Kendall's big sister is probably thinking about what color of nail polish to paint her new sister's nails. Precious!

New Year's Treat

Jan and Joe David brought their granddaughter Maycie to our New Year's party. We were happy to be entertained by this adorable little one. Tina and Adam's 5 year old grandson, Cullen was there too and played Bunco with us, but for some reason I didn't get his picture.
