Africa

Joe leaves for Africa today for his mission trip. I guess that is what they are calling it. They are putting up the steel beams for a church building. They will be visiting the nearby orphanage. They packed their suitcases with candy and treats for the children and any extra clothes they take, they leave for the people there. Niger is one of the poorest countries in the world. I am told the average person makes about $20 a year.

Pictured above are pictures from Joe's first trip a few years ago. This will be his third trip. They are standing by a termite mound in the bottom picture. Joe said that the hippopotamus is regarded to be Africa's most dangerous animal, and is among the most aggressive animals in the world. In the area they will be there are no lions or tigers.
Please pray that they have 'journeying mercies'.
