This is a letter that my Aunt Dee sent my Mom and Dad apparently shortly after they were married, so it would have been late 40s. If you click on the picture it should enlarge so you can read it all. The pages are numbered so you should be able to follow it.
The part that cracks me up is the line that says: I don't think we have had any candy since you left. I keep telling everyone that my sweet tooth was inherited! Here is proof. Dee missed my Mom, her oldest sister, but she also missed that candy that Edna always had!
I sent Dee a copy of this a few years back. Her illustrations are pretty good. Dee was only about 11 years old when she wrote this.
