A Trophy of a Mistake!

From Garry:

Once in a while something happens in your city that you want to brag about. A city employee working in the parks department had been seeing a deer in Lucy park. One day at work he spotted the deer, told his supervisor he was sick, went home and got his gun and shot the deer in the park. I'm thinking this guys middle name is Bob and we will all hear about this on the national news. This is a great story. Who says there is nothing to do in Wichita Falls? Go hunting in the park!

Email from one of Garry's co-workers:

This is Billy Brown's deer that he shot in Lucy Park. He is a City of Wichita Falls employee and had been watching the deer before season opened. The deer was shot from a pickup truck with a .270. If I remember right the score was a gross 214 Boone and Crockett. Obviously, Billy is not too bright or much of a hunter, cause he delivered the deer to a local taxidermist without gutting his kill. The head has been confiscated by Texas Parks and Wildlife Department, and state restitution has been set at $ 30,000.00. WAY TO GO BILLY!!!!
