We've all heard of the tooth fairy, the Easter bunny and Santa and his elves, but when the kids were little, our house was visited by the Room Fairy.
The Room Fairy made surprise visits to the kids rooms. If their room was clean, the Room Fairy left a treat. If their room was a mess, the Room Fairy cleaned the room and left a note telling them they missed out on a treat. I just recently found a note that the Room Fairy left in Ryan's room. It said: What a handsome and clean room! What a sweet little boy! To leave you a treat is such a joy!
I don't really know if it helped them to keep their rooms cleaner, but it was fun doing it!
