Robert Frost and my son Ryan have one thing in common... They like taking the road less traveled....or in Ryan's case, the bumpiest, most treacherous, scariest, road possible. One of the highlights of our trip to Red River, New Mexico was our Jeep ride up to Greenie Peak. Ryan was our driver as offroading is his business. Kara and I started out in the backseat. We were laughing hysterically as Ryan barrelled over the rough roads much like a roller coaster ride. And as Frost would say, "if two roads diverged into the yellow wood, well, you can guess which one Ryan took.... Ryan said we needed to get outside of our comfort zone, and trust me, he took us WAY outside of our comfort zones. But guess what? It was fun! Amazingly so.... We. Loved. It. Well, a few times we wondered if Mike was having a heart attack in the front seat, but other than that, it was just pure unadulterated fun~! And the scenery was so beautiful. The aspen trees had turned yellow and with the sun behind them they were illuminated so that they just glowed. A few times, my daredevil son got a little too close to the edge of the road where it was a straight drop off....But we all survived and had a barrel of fun.... and as Ryan told two guys that we saw at the top of one almost straight-up road who couldn't believe that Ryan had driven up it...."It's a rental"!

Paula, it is not too bad considering Ryan set the timer and ran back to get in the picture. Did the videos work for you?
Love the videos too! It was a lot funnier when I turned up the sound! But the pic looking down into the gorge scares the bejeebers out of me! That's nightmare stuff for me and so is driving on a road with steep drop-off.
