I found these in Daddy's round leather box. I wish I knew who these people were. I had to photoshop them to darken them enough to share with you. Do you recognize any familiar characteristics? I really don't. The top one looks like his eyes are shut but if you double click on the photo to enlarge it, you can see that his eyes are really open. It also has a frail gold frame that fits around this gold embossed frame, that I didn't want to scan (possibly real gold). and the bottom one is in a latched leather book, lined in velvet.
I think this one in the leather frame dates to the Civil War era as I have seen similar ones elsewhere. Does anyone have any clues?
