Kudos to OKC!

My friends and I went to Oklahoma City yesterday for the Affair of the Heart Craft show. It is always fun to get away and spend quality time with your friends.

We left the craft show early and went to Penn Square mall to shop some more. Shopping is good therapy. (We left here at 7:30 am and got home at midnight.)

Afterwards, we went to Bricktown to eat at Abuelos Mexican Restaurant. Yummy enchiladas, the avocado enchilada, spinach enchilada and the chile rellenos were all awesome! OKC has done a great job of making Bricktown a must see destination point. It was filled with people. There are many great restaurants, clubs and shops. There was an outdoor concert of hip hop music and it was fun to see everyone have a great time. They have a river walk much like San Antonios. There was also a haunted house and some costume contests, so we saw several dressed up people, young and old. It would be a great weekend getaway as hotels are within walking distance too. They have the Ford Center which is the venue for lots of concerts and the ballpark is there too. Whereas many towns have horses or cow statues, Bricktown has buffaloes. Interesting.

Now if only OKC would update their fairgrounds which leave much to be desired, but I guess they have been busy with Bricktown and they have done an amazing job with it.
