Creed William Brown was born this morning at 7:36 am. He weighs an even 6 lbs and is 19 inches long.  Creed and Kara are both doing well. Thank Heaven for little miracles~

Ryan & Sarah

Ryan and Sarah are in town for a friend's engagement party. We are so glad to have some time to spend with them as we don't get to see them very often.

Happy Birthday to Me!

Ever since Kara told me that her due date was September 7th, I have told her that it would be fine with me if baby Creed was born on my birthday, August 31st.   Well,  today she went to the doctor and Creed is breech. So the doctor scheduled her c-section for August 31st~  What a great birthday gift~  Of course, Creed could decide that he doesn't want to share birthdays and come early....Stay tuned....

There is just something special about seeing a neighborhood kid grow up, meet that someone special and get married. Saturday, Paula and I traveled to Wiley, Colorado to witness the vows of Miles and Kimber. The wedding took place on the grounds of  her parents farm. The wedding was very unique. Kimber has her own special style and it was evident everywhere you looked. Her bouquet was made up of rhinestone brooches and feathers. Her wedding shoes, teal with rhinestones. Peacock feathers were in some of the attendants hair and in some of the table decorations. Popcorn in bags of teal (blue raspberry) and brown (caramel) were party favors. Homemade ice cream with a variety of toppings was served.  It started out a little warm but it ended up cool with a slight breeze. Nature provided an awesome lightening show in the Northeastern sky. It was great fun.

Also, if you ever need a traveling companion, I recommend Paula. She grew up in the country around Montague as one of ten children and she can entertain with stories of her childhood. The miles just seemed to melt away as she told her tales. She really needs to write a book~ The eight hour trip seemed to go by rather quickly and I don't think I have ever laughed as hard or as much as we did on our road trip. Her story about how she and her brother woke up with a strange man in the house could be a comedy sketch!
